On my first day in Delhi, my skin broke out. Soon, I had acne all over my face, and a skincare routine that suddenly didn’t work.

I’m Kaylee, I’m Korean, and that’s how Haehani began.

A climate I’d never experienced

I blamed the tap water at first. Then came the weather. Indoors, the AC left my skin dry and tight. Step outside into the humidity, and it turned oily within minutes. Dry and oily on the same day, sometimes in the same hour. I had never experienced a climate like it.

So I did what most of us do: I bought more products, tried more steps, and watched my skin get more irritated.

Then I realized I wasn’t alone. Many people in India deal with the same cycle of heat, humidity, hard water, and pollution, and most products on the shelf weren’t made with that in mind. Long routines, a new “must-have” every month, and ingredient lists that never tell you how much of anything is inside.

I kept thinking that skincare shouldn’t be this complicated.

So I made it for India

Korean skincare has long focused on gentle, barrier-friendly formulas, with ingredients like Centella Asiatica that calm skin instead of stressing it. But most Korean products are designed for Korean weather and Korean skin.

I didn’t want to simply bring Korean skincare to India. I wanted to craft skincare for India: Korean formulation, shaped by what I lived through myself. That means textures that sit light in humid weather, and formulas gentle enough for skin that’s already irritated.
